Episode Information
Carl de Campos was born blind. This documentary follows Carl as he prepares to complete his second Fauresmith challenge. It also documents the daily challenges of coping all on his own after moving to a smallholding, the difficult decisions he has to make when his beloved horse falls ill, and his determination to continue training on isolated country roads after failing to find a sighted running partner. It’s an eye-opening account of what it takes for a blind person to participate in endurance sports. And a touching portrayal of the bond of trust between man and horse, as each learns to compensate for the shortcomings in the other.
