On the 16th of July 1945 at 5:26 am, in southern New Mexico, the test explosion of “Trinity”, marked the beginning of the Nuclear Age, followed just three weeks later by two atomic bombs “Little Boy” and “Fat Man” dropped over Hiroshima and Nagasaki, killing over 200,000 human beings, leaving a scar on humanity. Since the very beginning of the nuclear age, some of the scientists who created the nuclear bomb, called for its abolition. The remains of the Hiroshima Dome stand as a symbol of the devastating humanitarian impact of the nuclear bomb. The Nuclear World Project’s goal with the production of the third documentary entitled ‘In Search of Resolution’ is a continuing exploration into the future, not to predict what will happen, rather to profile individuals and organizations finding new ways to move the world away from the dangers of the most destructive weapon ever invented. Given the documentary was produced during the time of Russia's invasion of Ukraine brought into focus the underlying realities of the present-day threats of nuclear weapons.
