The Rocket Belt. Developed by Bell Aerospace during the height of the cold war, the Rocket Belt promised to be the future of military and lunar transport. So what happened? Where are they now? This is the story of a tenacious Australian entrepreneur and aviation enthusiast, David Mayman, as he strives to achieve his dream – the near-impossible task of building his very own Rocket Belt. After years of testing and building his own Rocket Belt with the world’s leading Rocket Belt engineers, David risked life and limb to become the world’s next Rocketman. With his mentors by his side he put all his energy into this history making flight. His homemade Rocket Belt which runs on highly risky fuel - hydrogen peroxide - that could have burst into flames at any minute. The belt reaches over 700°C and the fuel has to be exactly 90% hydrogen peroxide. Through these interwoven and connected stories, accompanied by cutting-edge computer graphics and exclusive never before seen footage, we learn of what it takes to build and fly a Rocket Belt.
