A film about animals and their relationship with people – the way we co-exist, the conflicts we have, and the incredible passions they bring out of us. They are more about people than animals and are very entertaining, endearing and perfect for the family audience. Fancy Cattle follows a group of farming families as they take their prize dairy cattle and compete to be Supreme Grand Champion at the Fryeburg Fair in Maine. Held annually in October, the show signals a time when cattle lovers across Maine gather to bath, groom, clip and compare their animals for three days of intense competition. Judged against recognised standards in a variety of categories, hundreds of cattle exhibitors compete for six Grand Champion prizes and the coveted crown of Supreme Champion.
