Allison Bean takes on the role of Chief Creative Officer to spearhead Off the Fence’s new strategy
Following the unveiling of its new strategy, leading non-fiction content company Off the Fence has announced that the production arm’s MD, Dr Allison Bean, will take on the senior role of Chief Creative Officer.
Building on its reputation for unparalleled access to people and places as well as creative content, a key part of Off the Fence’s new strategy is to invest in IP and storytelling. OTF Originals and OTF Studios are working closely together to develop and create a raft of diverse, fresh and original non-fiction content. This content will be built on the company’s solid foundations and expand into fresh genres.
Allison will inspire and oversee production quality and consistency across the company and all its business models. In addition, the new senior team will be further modelled to provide the structure needed to implement Off the Fence’s new and exciting evolution. As part of her role, she will also be in charge of establishing and maintaining company content and corporate values.
Allison has worked in television production for 23 years. She began her career at Survival Anglia TV producing natural history films and then joined Granada TV in 2002 where she expanded her expertise into the popular factual space making a range of films for broadcasters worldwide. Allison joined Off the Fence Productions in 2006 and since then has developed and delivered over 400 hours of programming across Off the Fence core genres of Yesterday (History) Today (Natural History, Travel and Adventure, Lifestyle, Crime, Impact) and Tomorrow (Science).
